Project Kaww was made for the RPG Maker Jam 2025. This is my first game, first attempt at pixel art, etc. I made this while homeless and disabled, so please judge it as a concept demo only.

This game is set in the mountains/hills around and in Old Town, an area in Portland. A city that resides in the bizarre world of Cascadia. A land full of strange magics, where puns are taboo due to their dangerous effects.

All animals are sentient and can speak here, and as a result most people (and animals) are vegan. Though... the plants can also move. They can not speak, however, and most view intelligence based on the ability of speech.

Almost every single interaction has multiple routes based on your dialogue and exploration choices. There are currently two "endings" in the game.

<Multiplayer>

I can setup the server upon request, but it's more than a bit jank currently. I have some foundational work lain to make MP have cooperative or competitive options, however I can not afford the pro version of the plugin I need.

<Guidance>

I like games that aren't super hand-holdy, so it's easy to die, and you can't save in the menu. It does auto-save every single map transition, however. And below is a cheat sheet of information:

<spoilers>
Cheat Sheet
No Numpad

SkillBar While Flying (You can also click the icons)
1 - Pickup Package/PUNkage
2 - Dropoff Package
3 - Kaww!
4 - Drop PUNkage
5 - Poop

Shift/Button to Fly or Land

Speak to mysterious entities three times for different results.
There is a villain in this story, and you actually meet them in this demo.
Can you guess whomst has been messing with the packages!?
